Gros Morne National Park became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987 for the exposed mantle rock of the Tablelands and its glacier-carved fjords. Parks Canada last reported a full count in fiscal 2019-20, at 238,071 visits, and the rebuilt Visitor Centre in Rocky Harbour reopened in May 2024.
