When gift shops reorder: the 2025 calendar

Every gift shop knows summer is the season. The order book says the year has three peaks, not one, and the biggest month of 2025 was October. Here is what 159 wholesale accounts ordered from us, month by month, in units shipped and orders placed.

The 2025 calendar

  • January: 7,245 units, 38 orders
  • February: 7,171 units, 42 orders
  • March: 8,080 units, 62 orders
  • April: 8,565 units, 76 orders
  • May: 11,188 units, 85 orders
  • June: 17,212 units, 98 orders
  • July: 15,052 units, 114 orders
  • August: 8,802 units, 69 orders
  • September: 9,272 units, 51 orders
  • October: 18,493 units, 54 orders
  • November: 4,658 units, 32 orders
  • December: 6,306 units, 21 orders

Peak one: the spring build, May and June

Units almost double from April to June. This is the opening stock for the tourist season, and it is the month with the widest spread of designs. Orders in June are mid-sized and many. Shops filling a wall for the first time in a year order across the catalogue rather than deep on one design.

Peak two: the July top-up

July has the most orders of any month, 114, on fewer units than June. These are reorders of what sold in the first four weeks. The bear and the top garment colours dominate. If your June order was right, July is a repeat with sizes adjusted.

Peak three: the October wave

October was the biggest month of 2025 by units, 18,493 on 54 orders. Fewer, larger orders. Part of it is winter stock for mountain and city shops, where crewneck fleece and hoodies take a bigger share. Part of it is buyers locking next season's opening stock while the current season is fresh in memory.

The floor: November and December

Units drop to 4,658 in November and 6,306 in December, on 32 and 21 orders. This is when our machines get their maintenance and when a new design gets digitized without queue pressure. It is also the quietest time to run a strike-off on a new garment colour.

How to use this

  • Place the opening order before the May rush, not inside it. The queue is shortest in March and April.
  • Plan the July top-up from your first two weeks of June sales. Sizes matter more than designs at that point; L, M and XL are 70 percent of every unit we ship.
  • Treat October as the second opening order, weighted to fleece if you are in a mountain or winter town.
  • The same data in one place: the numbers page.

Do US and Canadian shops follow the same calendar?

Broadly yes. In 2025, 393 orders shipped in US dollars and 334 in Canadian, and both sides show the June, July and October peaks.

How far ahead should I order?

Ask your rep for the current queue when you order. The contact page goes straight to the wholesale desk, and the answer changes with the month.
